The Saturday competition saw the English team facing strong opposition from Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish teams.
After the Welsh Team forged an early lead over the first 2 rotations the English boys took the competition by a 12-point margin with the Scottish Team taking the Bronze.
The English Team scored 310.500, with Wales on 292.700, Scotland on 272.450 and the two man Northern Irish Team scoring 123.050.
Sunday saw the aparatus finals where Mason qualified second in the floor competition. One deduction of 0.5 meant that Mason finished in a very creditable fourth place, just denying him the chance to add an individual medal to the previous day's team gold.
