Schools

We have always been keen to foster and improve our links with schools throughout the locality. Pupils from St. Bedes College, Bury Grammar School, Rossendale School,Elton High School and Millwood Special School have all enjoyed using our facilities.
We have added the final of Bury School's Gymnastics competition to our calendar as an annual event and hopefully, our awards event for Millwood Special School on Thursday 25th March will become a fixture too.
If your school would like to build a link with the club, please contact us via the contacts page.

Regional Grades

Huge congratulations to the 20 girls from Competition 1 and 2 squads who competed in the Greater Manchester Grades on the 30th and the 31st of January. All of the girls passed with flying colours with 15 of them also being awarded a distinction. The girls started the weekend off in style with excellent performances from the three girls who competed at Grade 11. Elle Turner came out on top in 4th place with Lauryn Campbell in 6th and Rebecca Hulston in 7th. On Saturday afternoon, Kaylea Chattwood put in a great performance to match Elle's 4th place in her Grade 12 competition. On Sunday, the Grade 14 girls excelled themselves with Emily Byrne in silver medal position, just ahead of Daisy Gamble who came 3rd in the in-age competition. Daisy also won silver in the Range and Conditioning competition. In the out of age Grade 1s competition, Caitlin Carroll put in consistently good performances on all apparatus to clinch the silver medal. The highlight of the weekend must go to Melissa Marsden who was outstanding, winning on all four pieces of apparatus and taking the overall trophy as Greater Manchester Champion. All eight girls earned the right to compete in the North West Grades Finals at the end of February, seven as part of the Greater Manchester Team and Rebecca as an individual, representing Bury.Well done girls.
